Our History

We've had a few different looks and a few different names. But through it all, we've stayed wholesome and delicious — for nearly 90 years.

  • 1900

    Graham crackers are sold by independent bakeries many of which join to form the National Biscuit Company in 1898.

  • 1925

    Pacific Coast Biscuit Company in Seattle, Washington introduces HONEY MAID Graham crackers.

  • 1930

    National Biscuit Company acquires Pacific Coast Biscuit Company and all its biscuit trademarks, including HONEY MAID.

  • 1931

    National Biscuit Company introduces Sugar HONEY MAID Graham brand in the western U.S.

  • 1948

    Nabisco Sugar Honey Grahams are introduced in the eastern half of the U.S.

  • 1951

    Nabisco Sugar Honey Grahams is renamed Sugar HONEY MAID Graham crackers and introduced in eastern U.S.

  • 1976

    Nabisco Sugar Honey Grahams is renamed HONEY MAID Graham crackers.

  • 1987

    Nabisco Cinnamon Graham Treats are renamed HONEY MAID Cinnamon Grahams, while HONEY MAID Grahams changes to HONEY MAID Honey Grahams.

    HONEY MAID Chocolate Grahams are introduced.

  • 1995

    Low Fat HONEY MAID Honey Grahams and Low Fat HONEY MAID Cinnamon Grahams are introduced.

  • 2002

    HONEY MAID Graham Sticks is introduced in 2 varieties: Honey Sticks and Cinnamon Sticks.

  • 2005

    Nabisco 100 Calorie Packs (portion control single-serve items) add HONEY MAID Cinnamon Thin Crisps to its lineup.

  • 2006

    HONEY MAID recipe is updated, increasing the amount of whole grain to 5 grams per serving (twice as much as before).

  • 2008

    Limited Edition HONEY MAID Squares (square graham crackers specifically for making S'mores) is introduced.

  • 2010

    HONEY MAID introduced a new recipe. HONEY MAID Honey Grahams with 8 grams of whole grain per 30 gram serving.

  • 2012

    HONEY MAID introduced a new snack to fuel kids for what next. Grahamfuls are available in 4 delicious flavors and have 10g of whole grain per 25g serving.

  • 2013

    HONEY MAID introduced new Teddy Grahams made with real fruit! Available in 2 fruity flavors. Teddy with fruit have 8g of whole grain per 30g serving.

  • 2014

    Honey Maid launches “This is Wholesome” portfolio campaign which celebrates a continued commitment to making nutritious products for every wholesome family.
